JUNE 2018 – NEWSLETTER

End of term activities.
It’s very hard to believe, but we are almost at the end of yet another school year! We will therefore be saying goodbye to some of our children as they leave us for new and exciting chapters in their lives. We will miss them all, but they are ready, and we are certain they will thrive; we wish them all the best in their new schools.
Sports Day
Our Sports Day this year will be on Wednesday 18th July, all family and friends are warmly invited to join us.  Our Wednesday children will arrive as usual at 9 am, we ask other children and parents to arrive at 10.30. The Wednesday children will participate in a range of races with their key group, we will invite those who don’t attend on a Wednesday to join their key groups for some races at the end. There will be a mums’ race, dads’ race and staff races; be prepared! If possible, we would be grateful if you could dress children in their key group colour. All children will receive a medal and snacks.
End of term picnic and summer fete
Our last day of term is Friday 20th July, we invite all leavers and their families and friends to join us from 10-30 for a short presentation, all other families and friends please join us from 11 until 2. We will have a bouncy castle, raffle, face painting and other treats for you to enjoy (bring your spare change!) Bring your picnic and hope the sun shines.
Clothing and belongings
A quick reminder to ensure you dress your children in sensible clothing and footwear; they may get muddy or dirty and wearing inappropriate clothing could restrict their ability to run, climb, or have fun! Also, please ensure your child is wearing sun-cream and a hat in hot weather.
Though we are happy for children to bring in special items from home, please be aware that there is the possibility that these items may be misplaced or lost.
Personal Details
Please let your key person know of any changes to personal details, it is important all our records are up to date.
GDPR
We have altered our record keeping in order to comply with the new GDPR legislation that came into effect at the end of May. We are legally bound to keep certain information once your child leaves the setting. Please ask to see our GDPR retention policy for further details.
September places
Please confirm the days you require for September as soon as you can, and if you know anyone who requires a place, could you ask them to contact us as soon as possible, we have limited places available for the next academic year.

Thank you, The Stepping Stones Team.
